Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
So as usual it’s a Monday morning at work
and we all know Mondays are the worst!
We always say we are going to rest over the
weekend… BUT WE NEVER DO!
Newhooo….
So as usual I chew on my mint humbugs at my
desk to pass away the time.
(Google them! Their the bomb! Best mints in
the whole world!) ……but I digress…..lool
So these mint humbugs have a hard outer
shell and this gives you the minty taste. Then you've got the chewy toffee center (best bit). So being the weirdo that I am, I always have this thing
where I try to wear away the outer part
of the humbug so as to be left with the sweet, sticky, middle! J
But SOMEHOW!….. I can never do it…. I always
end up half way through and start CHEWING , which then means I’m left chewing
mint and toffee, which I HATE! LOOL
Even though its really funny that I never
have the patience to wait for the hard shell to wear away…. It’s just like our lives. Why do we always want to
RUSH ! ?
God has his time, and the amount of times I've heard this same message about “WAITING”
is ridiculous, so I don’t understand why I can never just be patient!
Then I started to realize that it’s because
when you are a dreamer ( like I am), every once in a while you dream about the
sweet things that God has for you in the future and the excitement is just so
much that you don’t want to wait.
But what I've realized is that the
excitement is HERE and NOW…Enjoy your LABOUR or you won’t enjoy the FRUITS of it!
You can never really know what is good
unless you know what is bad! Right?
Example! You get into a relationship with a
guy that doesn't treat you well and suddenly when you finally date someone who
is God fearing and all the rest of it, you’re just amazed because you've never
experienced such a good relationship before.
And that’s how God wants us to feel when we
finally achieve what HE has called us to do. Like it’s the most amazing thing Ever!!
So let God have that glory, of letting his
children experience the BLESSINGS he has for them.
Now don’t get lazy!, I’m not saying sit on
your bum and let your success come to you. But I’m saying even whilst you chase
a dream, enjoy the chase and let God bring each and every success to you as and
when it’s meant to come.
Have a positive week and continue to work towards the vision he has given you.
